FRIENDS is an activity-based organization dedicated to the enhancement of the arts at Yavapai College and in the community.FRIENDS formed in the 1960s to help the YC art faculty set up and maintain a Gallery on campus. Since that time, FRIENDS has expanded its mission. Members now organize projects and educational events which assist, support and raise funds for the Sculpture Garden , student scholarships , the Art Gallery , the Art Department, and Art a la Carte programs . Through its support of these art related projects, FRIENDS makes a direct contribution to the artistic climate of Prescott. |
