Prescott has an interesting array of home furnishing, accessory, and interior design stores. On Whiskey Row, Sun West Gallery features an exotic mix of handmade furniture, nomadic hand-knotted carpets, original art and beautiful home accessories. Brimming with color, Sun West Gallery interweaves the work of Southwest artisans with wares from Guatemala, Mexico, Morocco and the Middle East. Don’t miss Bead It!, located in the back of the gallery. This mini bazaar offers a wonderful selection of beads from around the world. Looking for unique home accessories and gifts? Bella Home Furnishings, a 6,000 square foot retail store, is a favorite stop for discriminating buyers. Kim McClain, interior designer and owner, has decorated many of Prescott’s most beautiful homes. The store interior features beautiful Italian, English, French Country and alpine décor. Premier home furnishings, decorative accessories, antiques, gifts, gourmet food and jewelry are all artfully displayed and sold in Bella Home Furnishing’s renovated historic warehouse. Set back from the street in a shaded, cozy setting is Gabriel’s Plum. Step inside this shopper’s hideaway to find a wonderful collection of high quality collectibles. The Shops at the St. Michael Hotel To fill the space that Edelweiss vacated, Prescott was fortunate to lasso the Prairie Rose Bootique, a ladies Western style clothing and accessory store. Owners Toni and Gary Hirn offer beautiful skirts, blouses, jackets, handbags, belts, and especially BOOTS for the cowgirl or cowgirl wannabe. The Bootique also sells western style home decor. Solstice and its funky mix of jewelry, cards, T-shirts, and New Age and Retro provisions; the Hotel California Trading Post, THE place in Prescott for authentic Indian jewelry and art; Datura Handmade, an eclectic mix of jewelry and hand-made home décor; and Vine to Wine with its great selection of fine wines and weekend concerts. Don’t forget the great street-side shops including the Llama House Boutique and Puttin’ on the Hats where you are sure to find a fashionable chapeau. If it’s local art you are after, visit the Arts Prescott Gallery or Van Gogh’s Ear. Located in the beautifully painted Victorian-era Bashford House, the shop offers reasonably priced gifts, books, old-fashioned candy, old-time children’s games and toys. Lavender’s Blue, Priscilla’s on the Plaza, Seasons and the Llama House are fun boutiques to explore for those wanting great looking, unique clothing, and jewelry. The Fourth Friday Art Walk is an around-the-town walking tour of 16 art galleries who keep their doors open for the evening on every fourth Friday of the month.
