DESCRIPTION
Located on the grounds of the Veterans Administration Campus on Highway 89 in Prescott and housed in historic officers quarters, Fort Whipple Museum features not only exhibits of Arizona’s military past to the present, but is a centerpiece for historic reenactments of Prescott’s involvement in subduing the wild west during the territorial days of the 1860s through the 19th century. This month’s feature scheduled to take place on February 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., highlights the infantry branch of the armed service. Period costumed interpreters will be on hand to demonstrate and talk on weapons and equipment in Arizona during the 1870s and the 1880s.
