The 'Tis Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non profit agency was established for the promotion of local artists and various styles of art, to teach art and to make art economically available to the Prescott community.

The 'Tis Art Center has two galleries that feature contemporary works of art. The work rotates frequently and it venture beyond the typical western, traditional landscapes and Southwestern genres commonly found in Arizona art galleries. The Main Floor Gallery features a series of rotating main floor gallery shows, photography shows and theme shows that encourage artists to think outside of their usual realm and the Mezzanine Gallery features month long shows by one or a group of local artists. For experienced artists, it is a chance to build their exhibition history. For the emerging artist, it is an opportunity to learn and experience what it takes to produce and promote an art show.

The Center's third floor banquet hall is an ideal for weddings, special event parties, educational meetings, fund raisers, workshops and performances. It features a full kitchen, climate controlled outdoor patio, tables and chairs and a wonderful view of Prescott’s historic courthouse plaza, all at very affordable rates.

The 'Tis Foundation and 'Tis Art Center and Gallery are aptly named after a traditional Irish expression, "'tis" which is the abbreviated version of "it is".
