Arizonas Raptor Experience (A.R.E.), LLC is a new organization formed when Paul and Anne Schnell, its co-owners, moved to Arizona from New York. Previously the Schnells ran the Institute for Environmental Learning (IEL) which incorporated in 1992 as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization in the state of New York.

Having similar goals, the Schnells will operate the two organizations in Arizona and continue the mission of IEL which is to elevate peoples awareness and most importantly encourage their participation in conservation efforts.

The Schnells program will showcase as many as five raptors from their more than a dozen birds, and currently, anticipate bringing a Northern Saw-whet Owl, Western Screech Owl, Harris Hawk, Eurasian Eagle Owl and Swainson Hawk.

Free flight demonstrations: Toward the end of the presentation there will be in-flight demonstrations and close-up and/or hold the raptors opportunities. And Yes! The in-flight demonstrations will take place indoors! Note: If you have a fear of birds in flight let us know and we will work with you to find a location where you will feel comfortable.

Photos during the presentation: Flash photos will be allowed.

Personal Photo Opportunity: If you would like to have your picture taken with one of the raptors, Paul and Anne will be offering 4 x 6 personal photos for recommended donations to A.R.E. of $10 for large birds and $5 for smaller ones.
